TTI İzmir and TTI Health Became Key Meeting Points in Tourism
The 18th TTI İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress and the 2nd TTI Health Health Tourism Fair, held last week, served as gateways to the world for both İzmir and Türkiye’s tourism sector. A total of 12,361 visitors from 74 countries and 61 cities across Türkiye's attended the two fairs.
Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, and organized by İZFAŞ and TÜRSAB, the 18th TTI İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress and the 2nd TTI Health Health Tourism Fair welcomed participants and visitors from all around the world last week.
At TTI İzmir Fair, participants came from countries such as Germany, Venezuela, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, and various cities across Türkiye's. Ministries, governorships, municipalities, chambers and NGOs, travel agencies, tour operators, tourism bureaus, hotels and accommodation facilities, airlines and tourism transportation companies, tourism technology and software firms, and many other sector representatives participated in the fair.
Cities had the opportunity to promote their cultures and tourism activities, while hotels, agencies, and all kinds of tourism sector participants met with professional visitors and forged business agreements.
Besides presenting investment opportunities that played an active role in shaping the tourism sector’s 2024 roadmap, many panels and talks covering a wide range of tourism-related topics were also held.
With Turkish Airlines' sponsorship, 90 sector professionals from 38 countries attended business meetings and signed collaboration agreements.
TTI Health Brought Together Health and Tourism
The 2nd TTI Health Health Tourism Fair was held simultaneously with TTI İzmir. International tourism actors and health sector professionals gathered at Fuar İzmir. The fair’s participant profile included hospitals, clinics, health tourism agencies, aesthetic centers, hospital equipment and technology suppliers, as well as firms specializing in thermal tourism, SPA wellness, geriatric tourism, and medical fields.
As part of TTI Health, a procurement delegation program was organized in collaboration with the İzmir Chamber of Commerce. Health tourism professionals from 16 countries, including Italy, Russia, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates, participated in the program and engaged in numerous bilateral meetings.
Additionally, a three-day scientific event was organized by the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association in parallel with the fair. In this gathering, attended by 300 participants, a wide range of topics were discussed, from the future of health tourism to surgical practices.
TTI İzmir and TTI Health fairs are set to welcome their visitors again next year between December 11–13.
